Now in my mid-30s, my body felt like a stranger—throwing new, bizarre ailments at me that didn’t respond to the usual fixes.
My energy was low, my motivation was gone, and I felt stuck and depleted. I started to wonder if I was failing—not just myself, but my family and my patients. Stress and anxiety only made things worse, and I realized that knowing *what* to do isn’t the same as being able to *do* it, especially when life feels overwhelming.
I saw the same struggle in my patients. I’d give them a window to improve their health naturally—three months to manage blood pressure or blood sugar with lifestyle changes before starting medication. But rarely did anyone return with their goals met. I realized real support, accountability, and mindset shifts can’t happen in a rushed doctor’s visit. Real change needs more.
My turning point came when I finally admitted to myself: If I, with all my training and experience, couldn’t make these changes alone, how could I expect my patients to? That realization changed everything.
