Thank you for choosing me for your Botox treatment! To help you get the best results and a smooth recovery, please follow these simple aftercare steps. If you have any questions or concerns, I’m always here to help.
Aftercare Instructions
1. Stay Upright
For the first 4 hours after your treatment, please remain upright—avoid lying down or bending over.
This helps keep the Botox exactly where it’s needed and reduces the risk of unwanted side effects.
2. Don’t Touch or Rub the Treated Area
Try not to touch, rub, or massage the areas where you received injections for at least 24 hours.
This prevents the Botox from moving to other areas.
3. Wait Before Applying Makeup
Hold off on applying makeup to the treated areas for at least 4 hours.
This helps avoid irritation or infection at the injection sites.
4. Avoid Strenuous Activities
Skip heavy exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours after your appointment.
Heat and increased blood flow can affect how the Botox works.
5. Delay Other Facial Treatments
Wait at least 24 hours before having facials, massages, or other skin treatments.
Pressure or manipulation can interfere with your results.
What to Expect After Your Treatment
- Mild redness, swelling, or small bruises at the injection sites are normal and should fade within a few days.
- You may start to notice results in 3–5 days, with full results in about 2 weeks.
Possible Side Effects
Most side effects are mild and temporary, but here’s what to look out for:
- Mild headache or tenderness near the injection sites
- Small bruises or swelling
- One eyebrow may appear higher or more arched than the other (let me know if you notice this)
- Rarely, you may notice drooping of the eyelid or brow, or changes in your smile
If you experience difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing, seek emergency care immediately. These are very rare but serious side effects.
